WHY THIS MATTERS
The Family Services division of RISE Arizona is committed to addressing the needs of children in foster care or at risk of being placed into foster care due to neglect or abuse. This issue is critical because approximately 10,000 children in Arizona need safe placement in a foster home every year. RISE has been uniquely effective in tackling this challenge through recruitment, training, licensing, and retaining quality foster care homes in Arizona. Our foster care program currently supports an average of 200-250 children in foster care each year, and with your support, we can continue to make a significant impact.
The Pediatric Therapies division of RISE is committed to providing services and supports to children living with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD). Children living with IDD deserve the same opportunities as others to succeed in life; however, the costs for therapies and adaptive equipment for raising a child with a developmental delay are often prohibitively expensive. Funds raised though this event will help offset those costs to families in need. According to the Arizona Development Disabilities Planning Council, there are approximately 60,000 children in Arizona with developmental disabilities.
