Arizona supports adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) through our Opportunity Centers. This program teaches participants various skills that can help them maintain employment, build friendships, pursue personal hobbies, and more. Activities & Skills
RISE Services, Inc. Arizona’s Opportunity Centers are a safe and supportive environment designed specifically for individuals with I/DD. There are several opportunities to learn helpful job skills, develop social abilities, pursue creative interests, and foster independent living skills. With the help of our Direct Support Providers (DSPs), our participants may engage in various activities, such as enjoying puzzles and board games, creating arts and crafts, and practicing computer skills. We also teach personal care and hygiene, meal preparation, and grocery shopping skills. Everything we do at our Opportunity Centers is designed to help individuals with I/DD experience enjoyable and meaningful lives.
Community Events & Field Trips
RISE Services, Inc. Arizona participates in community events and planned field trips as part of our Opportunity Center program. Visiting local places like libraries, parks, and festivals helps our participants learn more about their community. Discovering different landmarks and attractions across Arizona exposes individuals to diverse experiences, such as touring Lake Havasu, embarking on nature walks in Desert Botanical Gardens, and engaging in animal therapy sessions with Pawsitive Friendships. These structured events provide one-of-a-kind experiences for our Opportunity Center participants.
