Understanding Residential Services for Adults with Disabilities
Adults living with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) and their families want nothing more than the best care for themselves and their loved ones. All too often, it can be overwhelming to find a residential care facility that is a good match for your needs and lifestyle. At RISE Services, Inc. Arizona, we understand many families’ frustration during this process. We offer three residential options for adults with disabilities. Let’s review each one to see how they can provide compassionate care and needs-based support for family members or adults with IDDs.
Residential Homes
For adults who need around-the-clock care with trained support professionals, we recommend our Residential Homes. Up to five adults live in these high-quality homes that have been completely customized for the needs and comfort of all who live there. Each resident has a private bedroom and receives intensive individualized support. Our top priority is to find a suitable residence that is best for you or your loved one and is also compatible with the other residents.
Independent Living Homes
Our Independent Living Homes are a good match for adults living with disabilities who can manage their daily activities with limited independence. Each individual lives in their own home or apartment and is eligible for up to 24 hours of personal care and assistance from a Direct Support Professional (DSP). In partnership with their DSP and other care team members, residents receive assistance with budget management, personal care and grooming, grocery shopping and cooking, and additional learning opportunities.
In-Home Care Services
RISE Services, Inc. Arizona provides In-Home Care Services for adults living with disabilities and aging residents. We aim to support each individual by listening to their wishes and adapting our care to their daily needs. Three types of in-home services are available:
- Attendant Care offers hands-on assistance tailored to each individual’s needs. This may include the use of medical equipment, medication reminders, meal preparation, and more.
- Respite Care provides temporary caregiver support for foster parents and family members who need to focus on their mental and physical renewal.
- Habilitation Care supports adults living with developmental disabilities as they learn and improve common everyday skills, such as light housekeeping, public transportation, personal grooming, and more.
